Sustainability

Regeneration and sustainability are embedded in our culture

Restoration

The Bank Apartments restoration project has been a labour of love, involving a long and complex renovation of the formerly derelict bank building to the finished product that you can see today.

The restoration has by its nature reused and respected the existing building fabric of this listed building, thereby reducing the need for new carbon-intensive materials.

Regeneration

Andras House ltd is committed to regenerating Main Street Portrush by investing in the area. We are refurbishing and extending the former Londonderry Hotel, just across the road from Bank Apartments, to provide a new hotel with an international brand and 80 modern bedrooms.

The combined effect of the restoration of these two listed buildings, with active ground floor hospitality uses, will transform this historic area of Portrush for future generations.

Operational sustainability

Bank Apartments is designed to have the lowest possible environmental footprint and we are working to achieve Net Zero accreditation.

The building is designed to be energy efficient with heat recovery ventilation and no fossil fuel use on site. Our electricity is 100% from renewable sources and we minimise our waste by eliminating single use toiletries and plastics.
